Not going negative, seriously

Huckabee detractors are yuk-yuking about his decision not to air a negative ad about opponent Mitt Romney. Various reporters in the MSM are providing all the ammo necessary. (here, here), but most of what I was hearing was opinion or impression--not illegitimate, but it's still subjective.

So I was intrigued to read Jim Geraghty's (of National Review) impression of this event. The Campaign Spot on National Review Online. From the post, in reference to Huck's interview with Blitzer:
"I didn't see anything of the anger or wackiness in Huckabee that others described in his press conference appearance earlier today. And I think the 'no negative ads' pledge will be catnip for exhausted Iowans. His rivals had better bring their A-game, because this guy isn't going to drop the ball as the clock winds down..."

Howdy!

I've compiled a list of Romney's greatest business hits (like being on the Board of Directors of a company that defrauded Medicare) at:

www.huckabeeblog.com

Huckabee won't bring this up, but the Democrats did in Massachusetts and Romney's business record is much like his governmental record: its what he says it is until confronted with the facts. Thought you might be interested!

Cheers,

JJ

pjz2296,
Thanks for visiting, but I read over the medicare fraud post and I'm not sure it's fair to insinuate Romney was responsible in any way or deceptive in comments about the matter.

I'm on a board and don't know everything that employees are doing for the organization. And his claims about taking corrective action aren't contradicted by anything you've referenced, as far as I can see. No doubt, embellishing one's accomplishments is alluring in a campaign, but I don't think that is defensible.

JJ, great blog! I have another site to suggest to everyone. It's at:

www.fittobepres.com

You can rank any candidate based on these 10 "fit factors." Well, when my friend referred me to it the other day I went on it to show my support for Huckabee and noticed he's not even listed as one of the candidates. We need to get on this and have the website add him ASAP.

You know, out of all of them that are running for President, Mike Huckabee is my favorite Democrat... too bad I don't vote for Democrats.

Who are you backing, Jason?

I guess we'll find out whose polls were right.
I hope Des Moines Register's is accurate, they showed the most favorables for Huckabee. Anyone but Romney, please. I could also back McCain, as I did in 2000.
